something to consider is that the light might drain a fair bit of power? would try with your regular nav lights first and see how that goes?
will be interesting to see how carpeting turns out on checkerplate.

Re: Questions on casting decksLooks good mate. certainly looks different with the deck level with the top of the boat. Better not drop anything
Good work. Mick
Re: Questions on casting decksDoodah, it wasn't the carpet sticking that I thought could be a problem, more so the lumpy appearance from the checkerplate.?
Iv'e heard people say that about the battery to leccy distance but if the cable is long enough to reach then it makes no difference as the cable would only be bundled up if it where closer and the power would still have to travel the same distance.Iv'e even extended leccy power cables a couple of metres and it made no difference to performance and battery life at all.all done on advice from a sparky. I think the whole power drop thing over 2-3m is a bit of a myth cheers wes
Re: Questions on casting decks
What I done Sugerz, was put a cig lighter plug at the front to run a spot light off. That way you can point it where you want to go and have it out of the way when your not using it. Gob Smacked Spinnerbaits

Re: Questions on casting decksOn the nose of my boat has carpet on checkerplate and doesn't look lumpy. If the carpet was very thin it might.
And with the battery, I had mine at the very back of the boat and have just moved it up the front for weight reasons. This made no difference to how the electric works. As long as you have got good size wire you will have no problems. Gob Smacked Spinnerbaits

Re: Questions on casting decksWell done Sugerz she is looking good
I am having the floor put in mine this week. Decided to let a pro do it as I would more than likely stuff it Cheers Nigel a bad days fishing is still better
than a goods days work!!!!
Re: Questions on casting deckslooks good Sugerz, just be very careful of rods and gear falling off that deck seeing as you have no lip/gunnell around the edge. Will be pretty easy to kick the odd rod or tackle bag off the deck into the drink
I LUV COD FISHIN!
Re: Questions on casting decksill post some pics of it up when its all done on the water with gear in it.

Re: Questions on casting decksOnce the carpets on the deck try sticking some velcro round the handles of pliers, Scissors grips etc it grips to the carpet and helps with things bouncing of whilst travelling to new spots or accidently getting kicked off.

Would of been good to get a close look at Wentworth, but us old blokes might not be able to get our walking frames close enough to have a look. Gob Smacked Spinnerbaits
