Login problems explained!

Postby shade » Fri Oct 03, 2008 9:39 am

I think I found peoples issues, as I can reproduce it now. (After going thru everything under the sun trying to sort this out)

The problem is some people are logging in at the domain murraymonsters.com.au

This works, it says logged in, but when you click on a topic, you will notice the software points to you murraymonsters.com,

It is seen as a different site, so you are 'logged out'

This is not a problem with the recent code, it's a problem with the software only allowing one domain.

I will fix this today so that it's sorted, by redirecting all links to .com.au regardless of where you have come from, for the website, forum and gallery.

Funny I can post with explorer but firefox has the old problem. I will have another look at what it's doing.

Yeah shade have tried deleting the cookies and starting again but to no avail. :x

So now this is what happens.... On firefox, I go onto mm website and I am not logged in. I click the login button and comes up with the prompt to which my comp has the user name and password already filled in. I click login and get a successfully logged in and returning to index page but when I gets back to the index page I see the login prompt again so if I go into a thread and attempt to post I get the promt to login again and the merry go round starts again.

Yet on explorer it goes with no problems at all. I prefer firefox now so I would prefer to use it! HELP!!!
