Step 4 As you pass the line through the coils, make sure the line clears the horizontal piece of wire. |

Step 5 If you have done this correctly, the line will now be free to move inside the coils. |

Step 6 Now that you have the line passing through the lure retriever correctly, it is time to use it. Ensuring you have an appropriate amount of cord tied to the lure retriever, hold onto the fishing line with your left hand (if you are right handed) and allow the lure retriever cord to slide through your hand until it hits the lure. Once the lure retriever has hit the lure, hold the fishing line tight and 'bounce' the lure retriever up and down. Sometimes it helps to gives the fishing line some slack as you drop the retriever down. |

Step 7 Once you feel the lure give way under water (be released from the snag) pull the retriever cord up, as well as the fishing line (usually best to have someone wind the line back as you pull it up). And there you have it. The lure has been retrieved with no damage. And you have just saved yourself 15 odd bucks on a lure! It's as easy as that! |
